Public safety is probably the most important role the County Government has and Rachelle will make it a priority. She will ensure adequate resources are dedicated to public safety while also advocating for transparency and accountability. Together, we can ensure this is safe place to live and raise a family.
Homelessness
Residents across the county are seeing the effects of this issue. We need to enforce the laws we have and ensure our parks are safe places for families to enjoy. We can’t allow open drug use in our streets. This is a public safety issue. This doesn’t mean we don’t have compassion for them as our neighbors. As a county councilwoman, Rachelle will collaborate with cities, the state, and non-profit organizations to make real progress. We can’t just throw money at the problem. We have to have accountability in these programs and any taxpayer money spent. We want results, not just virtue-signaling.
Upward Mobility.
Utah is the number one state for upward mobility and Rachelle Morris is committed to finding more ways to provide opportunity for all residents of Salt Lake County. She believes in providing individuals with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.
